  • May CE Workshop - Dangerous Safe Havens: Deconstructing Institutional Betrayal

This workshop utilizes education, self reflection + peer support to foster individual and collective healing in commUNITY as we

🟀 Examine national statistics specific to the nursing workforce related to retention efforts and well being/becoming.

🟀 Explore how individuals can be a source of healing in breaking the cycle of institutional betrayal.

🟀 Discuss the corrective actions and antidotes in (re)building trust within the healthcare system from a trauma informed perspective.

🟀 Identify the relationship between institutional betrayal, institutional courage and aspirations for the future of nursing.

    __________

🌱 We recognize you may be simultaneously intrigued and hesitant to sign up for what is undeniably a heavy topic. During this workshop, you will not be asked to share the details of your trauma but to self reflect on how it affects and guides how you live, work and move through the world.

πŸͺ This is deep work with an emphasis how we can be a source of healing in breaking the cycle of institutional betrayal.

  • May CE Workshop - Fostering Post Traumatic Growth

Post Traumatic growth is not intended to deny or diminish your experience, rather it is a framework for living in the aftermath of trauma.

Post Traumatic Growth occurs over time as a result of an attempt at making sense of unfathomable events and profound betrayal.

It is ever evolving as you move through the complex layers of your experience. It may feel as if you are…

πŸͺ In a space of unknown

πŸͺ The old patterns no longer fit but the new ones have not fully been formed.

πŸͺ Working to recover a sense of safety lost within the trauma

    ____

Be it childhood trauma, intergenerational trauma, cumulative care taking trauma, institutional betrayal, anxiety, depression, bullying, injustice, hate, unlove and heartbreak, we are all survivors of this life, working to heal the hurt.

Each member of our team has experienced deep transformation and Post Traumatic Growth in the aftermath of life changing events.

With this being said, our intention is not to ask you to relive your trauma but to highlight the human capacity to find meaning within your story.

We recognize that when you share your story with others you expand your own base of support.
